Restoration is a specialized service that focuses on remanufacturing and replacing old or hard-to-find circuit boards, components and devices used in critical electronics, machines, or systems. This service involves remanufacturing obsolete components, replacing outdated components, and ensuring the board or device operates as intended. It’s especially valuable to businesses that rely on rare or discontinued mission critical technology.
Restoration is characterized as devices BER “Beyond Economic Repair” this implies there is extensive cost prohibitive damage degradation or obsoletion. Restoration can vary from remanufacturing of PCS’s to the redesign and remanufacturing of components such as custom touch screens for HID’s. The standard retainer for RFQ is $1000.00. RFQ cost is typically projected between 1 to 10 percent of the total contract. Except in rare instances where volumes can be satisfied by the initial engineering sample or in the case of low volume low cost PCB runs. Some rare instances may be covered entirely by the RFQ retainer when applicable.
